I first met Alicia last year in a coffee shop in Ames. She was as sweet as she was beautiful. I wasn’t surprised when she said she had West Coast roots as her demeanor screamed beach babe. We started with small talk while we both enjoyed a drink. Her a IPA and me a coffee (pregnancy will do that to you) and enjoyed getting to know each other for a bit. Then we got to my favorite part of floral consults. I love listening to a client talk about the person they are going to marry. I take great joy seeing their faces light up as they tell me how they met and what their love is like. Alicia beamed as she told me about Ryan. I knew from the beginning they had a deep love.
Alicia and Ryan chose a very boho feel to their wedding.
The guests would enjoy the beautiful Clare and Miles Mills Rose Garden as Ryan and Alicia said their “I DO’S ” in Des Moines.
We created a beachy/ boho look for her bouquet with white ranunculus and dahlias, bleached ruscus, peonies, playa blanca roses and peach dahlias. Velvet gold ribbon draped the bridal bouquet to give it a little extra pop. Alicia’s bridesmaids wore mustard gold dresses and carried dried palm leaves with a mixture of white ranunculus, dahlias, peach anthuriums and lisianthus. Each bouquet a little different for each maid.
The couple had beautiful vintage decor supplied by Borrow my Vintage and they had their reception at The Iowa Taproom located in Des Moines.
Their beautiful shots were taken by the talented Jamie Tobin of Jami Tobin Photography.
